2007 NHSAO Conference Tour


On October 1, 2007, a number of delegates to the National Historic Sites Alliance for Ontario 2007 conference, held at Chaffeys Locks, visited the Old Stone Mill as part of a pre-conference tour. These delegates were treated to a wonderful tour of the mill, and learned a great deal about the history of the mill and the restoration work that was done in the early 2000s, from André Scheinman, the heritage preservation consultant who prepared the original conservation report on the Mill. Directors Mary Freiday and Anna Greenhorn were on hand to explain the role of the Delta Mill Society in operating, preserving and enhancing the mill.
