	$National Historic Site Plaque\n\nThe Old Stone Mill was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1970 and plaqued in 1973.\n\nThe sign is a bit in error since the original Abel Stevens' mills were located about 40m south of this location. \nWilliam Jones bought the Stevens mills and property in 1808. The mill was sited on the closest bedrock to the original stream channel (where Stevens' mills were located).$	$Winter at the Old Stone Mill, Delta, Ontario\n\nThis is the original 1810 door - on the inside long blacksmith made hinges hold the heavy door in place.$
